I'M LYNDA

I am passionate about art. Even before I started painting, I believed that I had the soul of an artist. However, in college, I was so busy pursuing a “sensible” career that I didn’t have time to take studio art classes. I always thought that I was an artist trapped in a non-talented body. I was too busy with school, family, and career to work on becoming the artist that I wanted to be. But retirement is wonderful. Soon after retiring, I started taking workshops both in person and online. For the last 13 years, I have studied Chinese Watercolor, Alcohol Ink, Abstract Acrylics, and I am currently studying Mixed Media.

I am a member of Santa Clarita Artists Association and Women Painters West. I exhibit with both organizations as well as at La Galeria Gitana. I have won awards for my Chinese watercolor as well as my Alcohol Ink paintings.

I’ve always admired artists. I've admired their ability to really see their world, to imaginatively interpret what they see, and through movement, and gesture to capture their vision and make it tangible. And, I've admired their courage in sharing their interpretations with the world. I am proud to finally call myself an artist. Let my art color your world!
